Fiber Connections for Springfield Businesses
Currently, Springfield Utility Board makes “dark fiber” available to Springfield businesses, public agencies and telecommunications providers in all service territory served by SUB. SUB’s Board of Directors is also researching attractive financing packages for SUB-owned or property-owner owned Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP), where property owners fund last mile construction with SUB purchasing the completed infrastructure, similar to our current residential-centric “Net Neighborhood” program. The goal is to support those entrepreneurs who invest in the future vitality of our community.
